Description:
This position is located in the Indian Affairs (IA), Deputy Assistant Secretary Indian Affairs (DASM), Office of Facilities, Property and Safety Management (OFPSM), Division of Facilities Management and Construction (DFMC) located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The incumbent serves as a General Engineer/Architect within one of the Engineering Services Branches of DFMC.Requirements:
GS-11 :To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-09 grade level or equivalent to the next lower grade level performing the following: 1) Assisting in managing construction projects from the planning and design phase to the close out phase; 2) Preparing or reviewing cost estimates and schedules for design and construction projects; and 3) Preparing project information materials for briefings.
OR
Three full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education or a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or a L.L.M. in a related field of study.
OR
A combination of specialized experience and education that totals 100% of the experience requirement.
GS-12 :
To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent performing the following: 1) Managing construction projects for the planning and design phase to the close out phase, 2) Preparing cost estimates and/or budgets and schedules for design and construction projects; 3) Preparing and presenting project information orally and in writing and coordinating work with staff in an engineering or architectural field.
