This position is within the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Office of Secure Transportation, Office of Technical Services (OTS), Safety and Security Division (SSD), has a great opportunity for a Program Manager. As a Program Manager you will serve as the Safety and Security Division Director and manage the division through multiple subordinate branch chiefs.Requirements:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA Demonstration Project pay band or GS grade level in the Federal service, i.e., NQ-03 or GS-14. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Leading security and risk assessments and hazardous operations safety programs, addressing environmental, public health, and safety issues. Demonstrate expert command of safeguards and security principles, covering regulatory compliance, physical security systems, and vulnerability assessments.
Examples of Specialized Experience
- Experience utilizing management principles, policies, and practices with specialized and extensive knowledge of the principles and techniques required to independently plan and carry out programs.
- Experience to serve as a national resource for the Transportation Safeguards System (TSS) transportation risk assessment which impacts transportation operations throughout the continental United States.
- Experience managing hazardous operations safety disciplines sufficient to recognize and aid in the resolution of conflicting environmental, public health, and safety requirements in both normal and accidental situations.
- Experience in the application of safeguards and security principles, directives, and practices, as demonstrated by substantial experience interpreting regulatory requirements for compliance.
- Experience in the application of the practices and theories of security regulations related to physical security systems, classification, information security, vulnerability assessments, and performance assurance programs.
