This position is located in the Office of Secure Transportation (OST), Office of Program Integration (OPI), Aviation Operations Division. Serves as the Pilot in Command and/or Co-Pilot of a 737 aircraft in support of the OST mission.Requirements:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA Demonstration Project pay band or GS grade level in the Federal service, i.e., NQ-02 or GS-12. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Experience actively flying cargo and/or personnel in a large transport category aircraft with recency of flight in the past 12 months (100 hrs.). Must have flight hours in B-737, military C-40, or similar cargo or passenger type aircraft (over 70,000 lbs.).
Examples of Specialized Experience:
1.Flying large jet aircraft as a Pilot in Command or Second in Command for an airline, cargo, or corporate operation.
2. Experience as a military transport pilot, which included flight planning, weight and balance calculation and self-dispatch.
3. Experience conducting ancillary aviation organization duties such as flight scheduling, training, safety or standards.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
