As a Transportation Management Specialist in the Office of Secure Transportation (OST), Office of Mission Operations (OMO), Operations Division (OD), Operational Planning and Scheduling Branch (OPSB), your primary responsibility will be to negotiate, coordinate and manage various classifications of operational agreements for Special Nuclear Material (SNM) custody transfers, both foreign and domestic.Requirements:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
This is a secondary position requiring prior Nuclear Materials Courier experience that demonstrates in-depth of the Transportation Safeguards Systems (TSS).
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA Demonstration Project pay band or GS grade level in the Federal service, i.e., NN-02 or NQ-02. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: comprehensive knowledge of the OST mission to effectively analyze and resolve critical transportation problems and provide agency and/or interagency advice through policy guidance on OST transportation activities.
Examples of Specialized Experience:
- Coordinating operations involving the safe and secure transportation across the United States of special nuclear materials, weapons and weapons components, and test/training components.
- Providing authoritative transportation management expertise and support to Command level and OST management.
- Experience in developing operational plans, procedures, goals and objectives to successfully achieve logistical objectives moving groups and equipment to and from locations supporting OST mission, unit and/or group training requirements.
- Experience in coordination, analyzing, and editing input from subject matter experts, project managers, and staff for development of detailed project plans and associated budget estimates related to TSS operations and NMC training.
